  • Can I securely book a room from the Venice-BB-Venezia website?

Certainly. Credit cards are processed by our website in compliance with the highest PCI (Payment Card Industry) security standards, using certified webservers supported by GEO TRUST at 356 bit.

 

  • What are the payment conditions?

The reservation must be guaranteed by a valid credit card.
Venice-BB-Venezia reserves the right to pre-authorize the provided credit card per the booking total amount (cleaning fee and city tax excluded), up to the full reservation amount at arrival time.
Not valid credit card will result in automatic cancellation of the reservation.

 

  

  • What are your cancellation policies.   

For a 50% refund, cancellation must be made at least ten days prior to scheduled arrival date.
If the guest cancels less than 10 days in advance, the nights not spent are not refunded.
If the guest doesn't arrive or arrive and decides to leave early, the nights not spent are not refunded.

  • Can I pay for the room with a credit card on the day of my scheduled arrival?

Yes, you can. However we would prefer a cash payment.

 

  • Does the total amount paid for my reservation include tourist taxes?

No, tourist tax is not included in your reservation, currently €3 per night per person and up to a maximum of five nights. Tourism tax does not apply to children under 10 years.

 

  • Are there any additional charges?

The reservation does not include cleaning expenses (€15) applied to all reservations regardless of the number of nights.

Breakfast, VAT and all other services mentioned on the booking form are included.

 

  • Is it possible to add an extra bed and how much does it cost for the children?

Yes, it is possible, on request, to add an extra bed to the double Sperior room and make it a triple room. Extra charge: Euro 35, to be paid on arrival. Please advise us if you need that. 

 

  •  On what floor is the B&B?  

The B&B is on the second floor of a 6 floor house.

 

  • Do the rooms have en-suite bathrooms?

 Venice-BB-Venezia is a small family hotel composed of two rooms and a communal bathroom kept clean and tidy on a regular basis.

 

  • What is the difference between the Superiore Room and the Classica Room?

 The two rooms are stylistically different but both are charming and comfortable and include the same services. Their rates are also the same and thus it is possible that a different room other than the one booked through our website will be reserved. It will however be our concern to make sure that the quality of your stay remains the same regardless of the assigned room.

 

  • Can guests use the kitchen? 

The kitchen can be used only to eat breakfast. 
We will be more than happy to suggest some great "trattorie" (the typical restaurants of Venice) or "bacari" ( wine bars that serve the typical venetian finger food "cicchetti") and other intersting places where you can eat very well at reasonable prices.

    
  •  Is there a laundry / washing machine?   
We do not have a laundry / washing machine for guests. However, there are several dry cleaning and laundry services near our bed and breakfast that we can recommend. 
 
  •  Is it possible to check-in prior to check-in time?

Usually it is not possible to check in before check-in time (meaning before 12 pm). However, for particular reasons, it is possible, with advance notice, to leave your baggage in the B&B before check-in time, respecting the privacy and space of the other guests.

 

  • Is it possible to leave the B&B after check-out time?

Usually it is not possible to have a late check-out time (meaning, after 11am). However , with advance notice, you can leave your baggage in the B&B after check-out time, respecting the privacy and space of the other guests.

 

  • Do I need to inform the B&B of my arrival time?

Venice-BB-Venezia is a small family-run bed and breakfast and does not have a formal reception, therefore we ask our guests to inform us of their arrival time, and of any change to their schedule in advance, so we can properly welcome them.

 

 

  • What are the house rules?

 

- You will be handed three keys: your room key, the red key to the flat, and the green key to the main entrance to the building.
- The keys to the house and to the main entrance are just to open the door. To lock it it is enough to just close the door.
- Use of the kitchen is limited to breakfast only. Please don't cook in the house.
- The bathroom is shared among the guests (two bedrooms) so please keep it clean tidy. 
- Please, don't wash clothes in the bathroom and don't leave you towels in the bathroom.
- We provide boots for high water tides, flooding and umbrellas for rain.
- Please don't smoke in the BnB , thank you.

 
Inside your room you will find:
 
- Bathrobe, pillows, towels, slippers, hair dryer, iron and ironing board ( in the closet).
- Free drinks in a fridge in your room.
- Wi-Fi is available throughout the BnB, the password is written on the mirror (all capital letters).
- Refreshing wipes (please don't use towels for remove make up)
- A mosquito killer plug-in.
- On request. an electric adaptor.
